Dear collegues,

The topics presented at the first edition of the medical event "Innovation in Breast Cancer Treatments"demonstrated important connections between the specialties involved in the fight against this disease, including medical oncology, oncologic surgery, general surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, anatomic-pathologic, imaging, radiotherapy, psychology.

The large number of physicians participation, the scientific committee composed of personalities of Romanian medicine and the quality of the presented papers encourage us to organize the 2nd edition of the congress in 2025.

The scientific program of next year's congress will be a continuation and completion of the topics addressed at the 2024 edition:

• Evolution of breast cancer classification: prognostic and predictive implications
• Quality in oncology treatment - the role of breast cancer center certification
• The impact of multidisciplinary committee in the management of breast cancer patients (and patients)

• Breast cancer from the pathologist's perspective
• Romanian National Breast Reconstruction Program
• Advantages and difficulties in breast reconstruction with silicone implants
• Oncoplastic surgery after neoadjuvant systemic treatment in breast cancer
• LNS versus axillary dissection
• Prophylactic mastectomy and immediate reconstruction in BRCA-positive patients
• Immediate and delayed reconstruction with microsurgically transferred autologous tissue
• Role of radiologists in the surgical management of breast cancer patients
• Radiotherapy after oncoplastic breast surgery-a challenge in breast reconstruction

We invite you to participate in the 2nd edition of the Innovation in Breast Cancer Treatments, which will take place on October 3-5, 2025 at the Convention Center in Timisoara, a national scientific event with international participation.

The Gustave Roussy Institute one of the most important oncology research centers at international level and one of the most important European clinical oncology centers, will be present at the congress with scientific sessions dedicated to breast cancer.

The event is organized by the Romanian Association of Plastic Surgeons and the Breast Surgery Research Centre (CCCS) of the "Victor Babes" University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Timisoara.

The congress will be accredited by the Romanian College of Physicians (CMR)
